Rembate Park, Lielvārde

Rembate Manor Park is a protected nature area of national significance. Its total area is 11 ha. The Park was originally developed as a landscaped area around Rembate Manor. The pond in the center of the park surrounds a small island accessible on foot. The island was named Spīdala Island in 1968 (a character in “Lāčplēsis”). Spīdala Island and the park as a whole serve as the venue for many and varied events.

On July 25, 2015 the “Seat of Honor” for Pauls Kvelde, Head Conductor of many Latvian Song and Dance Festivals, was unveiled in the Park. The author of the work is metal artist Aldis Lambergs.
